NEED HOPE?
GOD CREATED ALL PEOPLE TO LIVE IN LOVING RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. SO WHERE DID WE GO WRONG?
THE REALITY OF SIN

Whether through active rebellion or passive indifference, all people have turned away from God and tried to live independently of Him. This is what the Bible calls sin.

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Romans 3:23 (ESV)

“None is righteous, no, not one;” Romans 3:10 (ESV)

THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN

The punishment we’ve earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death and separation from God! God is holy, just, and fair and is right to punish sin this way. “For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23 (ESV)

THE SOLUTION TO SIN

God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross in our place, taking the punishment we deserve. On the third day after his death, Jesus rose to life again, conquering sin and death forever and giving eternal life to anyone who will believe in Him.

“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV)

“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.” 1 Peter 3:18 (NLT)
HOW CAN YOU KNOW, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THAT YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY WITH THE GOD WHO LOVES YOU?
1. Admit you are a sinner who needs to be forgiven.

2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died upon the cross and rose to life again to pay for your sins and give you eternal life. You could never be good enough to earn your way into heaven. It’s only through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus in your place that you can be forgiven and saved.

3. Give your life to Jesus. Ask Him to come be the Lord of your life.

“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (ESV)
